1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SelfMax ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Medical Disclaimer

SELFMAX IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE. The information and AI-powered recommendations provided are for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.

  • Always consult qualified healthcare professionals before making health-related decisions
  • Do not disregard professional medical advice based on information from this Service
  • Never delay seeking medical treatment because of information obtained through SelfMax
  • In case of emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use this Service. By using SelfMax, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. User Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account use

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Share misleading health information
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or disrupt the Service
  • Collect data from other users without consent
  • Use the Service to provide medical advice to others

6. Account Suspension and Termination

Suspension

We may suspend your account access temporarily if:

  • We detect suspicious activity or potential security threats
  • You violate these Terms of Service or our Acceptable Use policy
  • Your payment is past due (for paid subscriptions)
  • We need to investigate reported violations

During suspension:

  • You may still access the Service in read-only mode
  • You cannot create, modify, or delete your data
  • AI features will be unavailable
  • You will be notified via email with the reason for suspension

Termination

We may terminate your account permanently for:

  • Severe or repeated violations of these Terms
  • Illegal activity or attempted fraud
  • Abuse of AI features or system resources
  • Providing false information during registration

Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Service will be immediately revoked
  • You may request a copy of your data within 30 days (GDPR Right to Data Portability)
  • After 30 days, your data may be permanently deleted

Appeals

If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error, you may appeal by contacting support@selfmax.app within 14 days. We will review your appeal and respond within 7 business days.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of SelfMax are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. User Data

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using SelfMax, you consent to the collection and use of data as described therein.

9. Third-Party AI Services

SelfMax uses Claude AI for providing insights. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content. AI recommendations should be verified with healthcare professionals.

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain Service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service
  • We are not responsible for health outcomes based on Service use

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SelfMax and its affiliates from any claims arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
